Driving female entrepreneurship

About the initiative
Strengthening the financial and digital skills of women entrepreneurs
In emerging economies, Latin American women are estimated to lead 21% of new businesses in the region (Global Entrepreneurship Monitor). We know that businesses led by women are fundamental economic drivers, generating jobs and making an impact in their communities. However, most of them face growth barriers such as the double workload, limited access to credit, and fewer networking opportunities.
To promote the social and economic inclusion of women entrepreneurs, since 2022, we have been developing initiatives to strengthen the financial education of women-led businesses in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, and Uruguay.
How it works
Women participating in the Emprende Pro Mujer program (in Spanish-speaking Latin America) and Agora Vai, Mulher! (in Brazil) develop leadership and management skills to handle their finances and sales, while also incorporating digital tools into their businesses.
Through the Emprende Pro Mujer platform, participants gain access to various courses lasting two to three months, depending on their business stage (Pre-Incubation, Incubation, and Acceleration). By joining, they become part of a regional networking community and have access to mentors and live virtual classes to support their learning.
Meanwhile, Agora Vai, Mulher!, developed in Brazil in partnership with Aliança Empreendedora and Barkus, is conducted entirely via ChatBot on WhatsApp. The training covers topics such as negotiation, pricing, finance, digitalization, and other key subjects. Upon completing the chatbot training, participants move on to a mentorship stage with experts from Aliança Empreendedora and join a community of fellow women entrepreneurs from the same sector.
This model aligns with our DNA and business strategy because:
- It provides in-depth training that women entrepreneurs can follow at their own pace.
- It enables constant measurement of program impact on perception, skill development, and business performance.
- It encourages continuous learning: after completing the program, participants can enroll again for further education.
- It builds a support network, connecting women entrepreneurs with experts and peers across the region.

We promote the inclusion and financial education of women entrepreneurs, empowering their businesses and helping them achieve their dreams.
