Mercado Libre's initiative boosts social and environmental investment in Brazil

With an investment of over R$ 62 million, Mercado Libre announces the results of the #EntregandoOMelhorDoBrasil call for proposals, aimed at encouraging initiatives that make a difference across Brazil.

To reinforce its commitment to the economic, cultural, social, and environmental development of the communities where it operates, this year's call for proposals prioritized projects linked to municipalities where Mercado Libre's distribution centers (DCs) are located, in the regions of the states of São Paulo, Bahia, Santa Catarina, Pernambuco, Rio de Janeiro, and the Federal District.

The call for proposals was organized around two axes: economic empowerment, focused on income generation and entrepreneurship through culture and productive and financial inclusion; and quality of life, aimed at promoting health, sports, and well-being.

As well as being aligned with Mercado Libre's institutional positioning, the projects fall under the following incentive laws: Rouanet Law (Culture) + Audiovisual Law, FIA – Fund for Children and Adolescents, Elderly Persons Act, Recycling Act, Sports Incentive Act, PRONAS (Persons with Disabilities) and PRONON (Oncology).
