Beta Hub
About the initiative
Active, technology-based, and person-centered education has the potential to empower new generations, fostering their autonomy to start projects that amplify their voices and interests. So, in 2023, we introduced Beta Hub, a learning community designed to inspire the interest of Latin American teenagers to use technology to transform their reality.
Developing skills in the field is both a challenge and an opportunity in Latin America, where over 44 million young people aged 15 to 18 have the potential to become creators of tech-related projects. However, when they leave school – a time when they're most open to exploring, learning, and discovering their passions – they often show little interest and skills to develop in this area.
How it works
In collaboration with education and technology organizations in Latin America, Beta Hub provides free training and content for young people aged 16 to 18 who are keen on shaping their future in the realm of science and technology.
We offer free online content, courses, and activities that encourage young people to transition from users to creators, instead of mere users. This initiative creates opportunities, builds a collaborative community for ongoing learning, facilitates connections with experts, and equips them with the tools needed to bring transformative ideas to fruition.
